Since the beginning of alpinism Ischl has been known as a central starting point for the mountains of the “Blue” Silvretta. Many easy to difficult walks lead from Ischgl into the surrounding mountains.
The approximate 300 kilometres of walks and 18 alpine mountain huts around Ischgl that surround the mountains and valleys of the Silvretta, the Samnaun group and the Verwall, make innumerable tours starting from Ischgl possible, as well as tours lasting for several days walking from hut to hut. And tours to the highest mountain tops are made with highly qualified mountain guides.
The Ischgl Tourist Office compile daily guided walking programmes with experienced, local guides. Registrations are possible until 5.00 pm on the day before the chosen tour in the Ischgl Tourist Office. The latest weekly programme is on show in the Tourist Office.
